Metro North Mall
The Metro North Mall is located in Kansas City, Missouri, in the Kansas metropolitan area, north of the Missouri River, near 169 Highway. The mall boasts over 60 shops and services, all in 1.3 million sq. ft. of total retail space, and is a regional shopping center, 2 floor enclosed mall. Its 3 anchors are the department stores you would usually find in such a mall, Dillard's, J.C. Penney, and Macy's. The mall opened for business in 1976 and is currently owned and managed in joint venture by Sherman Dreiseszun and Alberta Development.
The family friendly services this mall has to offer are not different from any of those normally provided by a regional shopping center that focuses on the average customer, with certain stores for the occasional upscale shopper. The services for families are stroller rental and diaper changing areas in the restrooms, plus a children's play area. Parking is ample and free, but unfortunately there is no valet parking service, nor are there any indoor parking lots. There have been no major security incidents lately near the mall premises as the security is extremely well organized and structured. The schedule is common for a regional shopping center, the mall being open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.
Dining is relatively varied, with 10 full-service restaurants, food court eateries, and food specialty shops. Entertainment is ensured by the Metro North Mall Cinema, a regular cinema within the mall premises for all visitors. The nearby attractions will prove interesting to visitors, with many things to see of what Kansas has to offer, such as The Nelson - Atkins Museum of Art, The Kemper Museum of Art, Science City, The Steamboat Arabia Museum, Kansas City Repertory Theater, or even Union Station. Those interested in finding the carrier opportunities at the mall can access the official site where they will see listings of all job offers: http://www.metronorthmallkc.com/careers.htm.
